The PO Performance Report rates for this topic show how well physicians in each PO and their patients did in Calendar Year 2009 at seeing adolescents 12 to 19 years old for one or more well visits.

Adolescents ages 12 to 19 years old should have at least one well visit each year. A well visit is important so your adolescent's doctor can help keep your adolescent in good health by checking his/her growth and development and give you advice specific to the age of your adolescent. Each visit is a chance to work with your adolescent's doctor as part of a team, to focus on your adolescent and discuss ways to promote your adolescent's growth and development. Well visits should also provide important information and guidance for you as a parent.
